Happy Birthday Tony!

On this day, February 9, Antonio Angelo (Tony) Soma was born in 1890. An 8th grade drop out, Tony came to America and became the Speakeasy King.

In the late Twenties and early Thirties, he was known as “Broadway Tony”.

His speakeasy was a favorite watering place for members of literary and theater circles.
